Safety
Date like you mean it — safely.
Bondy is built around real plans in real places. Here's how we keep those plans safe — and what you can do too.
Most dates on Bondy start with a plan — a café, a time, two people. That structure is deliberate: public places, mutual confirmation, and reminders for both sides. Safety isn't a feature here; it's the format.

Know who you're meeting
- Check the profile: read their prompts, look for verified details, and video-chat before meeting if anything feels thin.
- Trust the pace: anyone rushing you off the app, asking for money, or dodging basic questions is a red flag — slow down or walk away.
- Never share: passwords, OTPs, bank details, or your home address with a match. Bondy staff will never ask for these.
Meet in public
- Pick a public place: cafés, markets, and events with other people around — especially for a first plan.
- Tell a friend: share where you're going, who you're meeting, and when you expect to be back.
- Stay independent: arrange your own transport and keep your phone charged. Don't rely on your date for a ride home.
Keep it on Bondy first
Keep the conversation on Bondy until you've met and built trust. On-app chats can be reported, and our moderation team can act on them — once you move to another app, we lose that visibility.
Block & report
If someone harasses you, impersonates another person, asks for money, or behaves in any illegal or threatening way:
- Block them in the app so they can't contact you again.
- Report them from their profile or the chat — include screenshots where you can.
- Our team reviews reports with a mix of automated filters and human moderators, and can suspend or remove accounts that break our Terms.
Safety at Bondy plans
- Bondy plans happen at public venues with staff present.
- Everyone at a plan has a confirmed Bondy profile — no plus-ones off the list.
- If anyone makes you uncomfortable at a plan, tell the venue team or report them in the app afterwards.
If something feels wrong
Trust your instincts. Leave, call a friend, or contact local emergency services if you feel unsafe. Then tell us — write to hello@bondy.app or to our Grievance Officer so we can act on the account.
No genuine match will ever pressure you to move fast, send money, or keep the plan secret. When in doubt, cancel the plan — there will always be another Saturday.
